British High Commission Honour Women’s Swimming Project to Celebrate Sri Lanka’s 75th Independence Day2023 is a tough year to celebrate in Sri Lanka, coming as it does, after three successive devastating blows to that beautiful country: the Terrorist Attacks on crowded churches, the Covid Pandemic and, most recently, the Financial Crash caused by the Russian invasion of the Ukraine. To coincide with Women’s Day, the British High Commission in Colombo celebrates Seventy Five Women who have done great deeds to the benefit of Sri Lanka.
